These Takach Press custom grids aide in accurate alignment of plate and paper during printing.
By aligning the plate to be printed with the marks on the grid the printer can then relate the placement of the paper to the plate.
The grids are custom printed by Takach Press to fit their Etching presses. A center line running length and width is calibrated every .125? for easy and accurate registration.
A square grid pattern is also finely printed over the whole sheet. Printmakers can add their favorite plate and paper sizes for a custom grid layout.
We recommend covering this Registration Grid with a clear polycarbonate or acrylic sheet referred to as a Protective Bed Cover.
